🛑 Ralph Rosado: The Wrong Choice for District 4
Ralph Rosado wants your vote but his track record tells a different story.
Rosado says he is a fresh face and that he is not political but in reality, he is a serial candidate who has been running for office since 2010.
In 2010, Rosado lived in unincorporated Miami-Dade in the area of Shenley Park and ran for State Representative. He lost to Michael Bileca. https://ballotpedia.org/Michael_Bileca.
In 2017, he ran and lost against Commissioner Manolo Reyes. He outraised Reyes by more than double, raising $606,730 to Reyes $330,511, with the strong backing of developers including those who required his approval in North Bay Village. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/article167713637.html
❌ Indecisive Leadership
Rather than leading with clarity, Rosado waffled unable to commit, unable to act. As one official put it:
“I cannot do this back and forth and this place of leadership purgatory. You’re creating more friction than you’re creating the ability to move projects forward.”
❌ Lacking Transparency
Transparency is the foundation of public trust and Rosado fell short. Multiple concerns were raised about his unwillingness to operate in an open, accountable manner:
“We have issues of what I would essentially describe as non-transparent.”
The meeting begins with a recap of the last meeting regarding Rosado’s termination and an account of the individual meetings he had with commissioners and the Mayor wherein he promised to focus on the job and be more honest. However, hours after the meetings he deleted the meetings from his public calendar in violation of Florida law. When the Vice Mayor chastised him about his long history of deleting meetings Rosado said “it has always been my professional practice to delete meeting after I attend them.”
❌ Abandoning His Role
When leadership was needed most, Rosado walked away. His office emptied shelves bare, books gone he left without finishing the job.
This came up at the April 2nd meeting after a long discussion on how Rosado once again went on vacation, failing to leave anyone in charge or providing any documentation as to his absence. Rosado responded that he was planning on memorializing his vacations later.
When asked why he cleared out his office over the weekend, Rosado said that after several conversations on Saturday he felt he didn’t have the votes to keep his job, so he packed up his stuff.
❌ Raising Your Taxes
Rosado is campaigning on the promise that he will lower taxes and make Miami more affordable, but he was the decision maker he recommended raising taxes and raised his salary. At the April 2 meeting facing termination he suggested that he should be paid bonuses for the work completed for Commissioners, the Vice Mayor responded by noting that Rosado already received a salary and should do his job. Rosado claims he should be elected because of his experience but bonus pay for administrators is prohibited by Florida law.
Before leaving, Rosado recommended three separate tax increases:
- 2020
- 2021
- 2023
These proposals would have cost residents more without solving the city’s challenges.
Ralph Rosado has already shown us who he is. Let’s move forward — not backward.

Special Village Commission Meeting April 2, 2024
Rosado claims he resigned but the truth is, the city had already attempted to fire him multiple times and ultimately chose not to renew his contract. He simply stepped down before they could make it official. Below is the special meeting that Rosado eliminated from the public website and continues to deny.
Ralph Rosado DOES NOT CARE About the City of Miami
Ralph Rosado has repeatedly criticized the City of Miami’s Building Department but the record shows his own house is far from in order. At the April 9th North Bay Village Commission meeting, it was publicly confirmed that Rosado has been in direct violation of the Village Charter since 2018. That year, 88% of voters approved a referendum to remove Code Compliance duties from the Police Department and place them under the City Manager’s supervision. Despite this clear directive from the public, Rosado refused to take control of Code Compliance a dereliction of duty that had North Bay Village’s permitting system in disarray until he was replaced. Much like his mentor Carollo, Rosado was accused in this public meeting of using police and code compliance officers to harass residents. He was also criticized for his failure to digitize permits and financial ties to developers. Interesting how the very issues Rosado uses to attack others are the ones he failed to address under his own opportunity to lead.
Leadership is about honesty and accountability. Rosado has a track record against both.
